Motorcycle and Rider Rules and Requirements

  1. Brakes in Optimal Condition: Front and rear brakes must be fully functional, with no fading or leaks. Brake pads should have sufficient material, and brake fluid levels must be adequate and fresh.

  2. Engine Working Properly: The engine should run smoothly without any abnormal noises or leaks. Ensure there are no excessive oil or coolant leaks.

  3. No Loose Bolts: All bolts, nuts, and fasteners on the bike should be tightened properly. Pay special attention to critical components such as the engine mounts, axle nuts, and brake calipers.

  4. Tires in Good Condition: Tires must have adequate tread depth and be free from cuts or damage. Tire pressure should be checked and set to the correct levels for track use.

  5. Chain and Sprockets: The chain should be properly lubricated and adjusted to the correct tension. Ensure the sprockets are not excessively worn or damaged.

  6. Suspension Functionality: The suspension should operate smoothly without leaks from the forks or shock. Check for proper rebound and compression settings.

  7. Throttle Response: The throttle must operate smoothly with no sticking or lag. It should return to a closed position when released.

  8. No Fluid Leaks: The bike should have no leaks from the engine, cooling system, or brake system. This includes oil, coolant, or fuel.

  9. Controls and Levers: All controls (clutch, brake, gear selector) must operate smoothly and return to their resting position properly. Levers should not be bent or damaged.

  10. Kill Switch Functionality: Ensure the kill switch operates properly, allowing the engine to stop immediately.

  11. Fairing and Bodywork Secured: Bodywork and fairings should be securely attached to the bike with no loose or damaged panels.

  12. Mirrors Removed or Folded: For safety, mirrors should either be removed or folded back to prevent distractions or risk of damage in case of a crash.

  13. Wheel Bearings and Axles: Check that the wheel bearings are in good condition and the wheels spin freely without any grinding or resistance.

  1. Full-Face Helmet: ECE, or SNELL-approved full-face helmet with a clear visor must be worn. It should fit snugly and be free from any damage or cracks.

  2. Leather Suit: A one-piece or two-piece leather suit is highly recommended, and it’s a requirement for racing, but not for Saturday practice day. If it’s a two-piece, the jacket and pants must zip together around the waist. The suit should fit properly and offer full coverage without tears or damage.

  3. Back Protector: A CE-approved back protector is recommended. This can be integrated into the suit or worn separately under the leather suit.

  4. Gloves: Gauntlet-style leather gloves that cover the wrists and fit securely. Gloves should offer full protection and be in good condition without tears or worn-out areas.

  5. Riding Boots: Full-length motorcycle boots made from leather or synthetic materials, covering the ankles. They should fit well, provide proper ankle support, and be in good condition.

  6. Chest Protector (Recommended): A CE-approved chest protector is highly recommended to provide extra protection for the chest and rib area, either integrated into the suit or worn separately.

  7. No Loose Clothing or Accessories: Avoid wearing anything that could get caught or distract you, like scarves, jewelry, or loose clothing. Everything should be securely fastened.

  8. Undergarments: Wear moisture-wicking base layers underneath your suit to stay comfortable and prevent chafing. Avoid bulky or restrictive clothing under the suit.

  9. Hydration and Nutrition: Stay hydrated before and during the trackday. Bring water or sports drinks to maintain energy and focus. Eat light, energy-boosting snacks to avoid fatigue.

  10. Physical Fitness: Ensure you are in good physical condition to handle the physical demands of track riding. Core strength and endurance will help maintain focus and control on the bike.

  11. Mental Preparation: Be mentally prepared for the intensity of track riding. Stay focused, clear-minded, and avoid distractions to ensure maximum concentration on the track.

  12. Clear Vision: If you wear glasses or contact lenses, ensure they fit properly under your helmet and provide clear vision. Consider an anti-fog treatment for your visor or glasses.

  13. Knowledge of Flags and Rules: Be familiar with the track’s rules, flag signals, and safety procedures to ensure you can respond correctly in any situation.

  14. Insurance and Trackday Waivers: Confirm that you have the necessary trackday insurance if required, and ensure all waivers and forms are completed prior to the event.
